Our mission is to teach horsemanship, not just riding; by striving for excellence in the care and training
of the horse, and practicing safety in the proper handling and riding techniques of the horse. All of this should be
done in a way that the horse understands what we are asking of him. This is accomplished by using the tried and true
EQUI-VENTURE standards of DEDICATION, SAFETY, DISCIPLINE, EDUCATION and DETERMINATION.

We know that most people enjoy horses so much that they will want to ride or work with them. We genuinely just want them
to try it because we know that they are going to enjoy theirselves and then hopefully they will either continue
with our programs and/or tell their friends. This is why we offer OPEN STABLE & FAMILY FUN DAYS and FREE INTRODUCTORY
LESSONS.
Therefore, on Open Stable & Family Fun Days, you are invited to come out to the stable. Learn about
our mission statement, stable goals and equine rescue efforts. We will introduce our instructors and encourage the observation
of a lesson. We want you to take a tour, meet the horses and take a FREE Introductory Lesson. If you are
an experienced rider, this Introductory Lesson will serve as an Evaluation Lesson.
When not during an Open Stable or Family Fun Day, FREE Introductory Lessons are available by appointment
only. We offer appointments during the week and depending on our Show or Stable Activities Schedule,
on some weekends. Appointments are needed in order to confirm our
show and activities schedule and so we (and the horses), can be prepared. We will need to know information about each
rider coming so we know which horse and instructor will best be suited to the individual. Afterwards, if you are
interested in continuing with our program, we can either schedule or give you an orientation and provide you with necessary
forms.
For those that are new to riding and/or those that
do not have riding attire, we do have some REQUIRED ATTIRE for safety reasons. Please come prepared for riding!
- jeans or sweatpants (no shorts)
- tee shirt or long sleeved shirt that can be tucked in (please no
halter tops, tube tops, or spaghetti straps)
- hard, smooth soled shoe or boot with low heel and closed toe (please
no sneakers, flip-flops, sandals, crocs or deep treaded boots)
- bike helmet in case one of our equestrian helmets do not fit
