Our mission is to teach horsemanship, not just riding; by striving for excellence in the care and training
of the horse, and practicing safety in the proper handling and riding techniques of the horse. All of this should be
done in a way that the horse understands what we are asking of him. This is accomplished by using the tried and true
EQUI-VENTURE standards of DEDICATION, SAFETY, DISCIPLINE, EDUCATION and DETERMINATION.

I heard a neigh, Oh, such a brisk and melodious neigh
it was. My very heart leaped with the sound.

ENROLLMENT
There will be a non-refundable enrollment fee at the beginning
of a semester/session for ALL programs. The enrollment fee is stated for each program and is collected primarily to cover
insurance.
We ride and teach year round.
We offer our lessons and program activities in semesters/sessions to simplify our billing. Students/participants
may enroll in our lesson program, as well as our other programs at any time; even if the semester/session has already started,
and/or we are in the middle of, or near the end of a semester/session. We are always accepting students/participants
at all ages, levels and in all disciplines.
ORIENTATION & INTRO LESSONS/EVALUATIONS: Before
enrolling for horsemanship lessons, students and/or their parents, if applicable, should read over our Lesson
Program webpages and then schedule an orientation. A free Introductory Lesson for beginners, or a free Lesson
Program Entry Level Evaluation for intermediate or advanced riders can be scheduled along with this orientation.
After determining which class is best suited for the student/participant, the enrollment and registration can also be
completed at this time.
Every student/participant must have a signed and notarized
Emergency Consent Form on file by the first lesson/program activity.
Every student/participant will have a contract to sign prior
to the first lesson/program activity.
EQUI-VENTURE will only accept students/participants
that take at least one lesson/program activity each week, year round. Our programs are too intense for students/participants
that show up sporadically. If you sign up for lessons/other programs at this stable, you are expected to be here at
least weekly unless WE cancel or reschedule. Of course, vacation times and holidays are taken into consideration.
If a student/participant misses two lessons/program activites
in a row, the student/participant will automatically be dropped from the program. there wil be no refunds of any unused
plans. If the student/participant wants to take lessons and/or participate in another program again, all fees from the
prior session must be paid and the enrollment and registration process, including their fees, will start over.
PROGRAM SEMESTERS / SESSIONS
10 WEEK SEMESTERS / SESSIONS
For the convenience of our clients and our billing, we have set up "semesters"
to simplify payments and contracts. These semesters will be for our lesson program, as well as our other programs
(excluding camps, equestrian studies and some of our clinics). Payment(s) must made in full before the beginning of
the semester unless approved financial assistance is available. Students/participants may begin
lessons at any point during the semester. The semester fee will be prorated accordingly and will be due before
the first lesson/program activity.
2009 SEMESTERS
January 25 - April 4
April 5 - June 13
June 14 - August 22
August 23 - October 31
November 1 - January 9, 2010
REFUNDS
EQUI-VENTURE does not refund lessons or any other packages cancelled
by the student/participant, except in the case of medical reasons and only when verified by a doctor's note.
If a package is terminated before it is completed by either the student/participant
with a medical excuse or EQUI-VENTURE for acts of God or closure, then any calculation of a refund is based on all prior lessons/program
activities of the current package being charged at the non-package rate.
Credits for lessons, activities or classes will only be given if the
stable cancels them.
EQUI-VENTURE RIGHT OF REFUSAL
Under the following conditions: no refunds wil be given and/or services will be denied. These will count
as missed appointments and will be charged accordingly.
EQUI-VENTURE reserves the right to refuse service to anyone due to safety issues. (i.e.: incorrect attire,
excessive rider's weight, suspicion of impairment, etc.)
